History:: The Grrrowl (yes, it really has three r's in it.) is a new team for 1998-99. Located in a brand new arena in fast-growing upstate South Carolina, they have attracted an enthusiastic following, averaging over 9,000 fans per contest. This puts them second only to Louisiana in terms of fan support. Part of the Grrrowl's attraction is that they have ready-made rivalries with Charlotte, Pee Dee, and South Carolina.
